I'm completely freaking out over the SSAT test I took today. I'm applying to Exeter, Deerfield and Emma Willard. What did you think of the test? I couldn't finish the 2nd math section (it was so hard!) i felt that the test was way more difficult than expected. :'( Share your thoughts.

I took it today too
I found SAT critical reading easier than on this SSAT.
It was much more difficult than I had expected!

Ah, I agree. I’m applying to a couple of HADES schools, and I feel like it’ll be impossible now. The one section I did terribly in was the part with the synonyms. I skippedand guessed on so many

Did all of you already submit the scores to the schools you’re applying to? I was afraid, because last time I had my scores sent to the prospective schools and I didn’t receive the scores I was hoping for. I am wondering, do the schools average your SSAT scores together? or do they take the highest score? The vocab section was a lot harder than the December test.

If you send in multiple ssat scores, they will take the highest score.

It was so difficult. :(

Well one thing i kept in mind while doing ssat( phy chem math2) was that i wud finish the paper n leave no question… Because its 1 mark per correct ans and -0.25 for wrong so if u dont know 5 question n plan to leaave dem do not! Even if one is correct the net will become 0 n no harm will b done n if 2 correct den u gain points :)

Anywys im sure ur result will b better dan u think cuz wen i gav i did it so fst i thut i had messed the paper and dint remember any ans or check any too… But wen results came i got chem:800 math:780 phy:800

Best of luck guys and gals!!

My SSAT score M:800 CR:730 W:680
Sorry wrote my subject scores in prior post

The latest ssat was harder than I expected, although with enough studying you wouldn’t have done so badly. Do you guys remember this problem on the last section of math?

x*y=y+2/x+1 where x=2 and y=10 … the answer was not in the choices :/

reading was quite easy, although there were some tricky questions if you did not read carfully. And vocab, if you did not study, it would have been extremely hard in my opinion.

Eecacee… Can u post the exact question?

Yes. That is the exact answer that I can’t answer… I wonder if this is a mistake. If it is, it should be addressed by the SSATB by now… :(

sweet. another person who can’t answer it. All of my friends said the problem was screwed up, and it is.

when you plug in the x and the y, it ends up being

10+2/2=1 which is 10+1+1 which is 12

none of the answer choices were 12.

That problem was actually screwed up. I made sure like 20 times and ended up not answering it.

@optimisticer that is the actual question. I looked over it so many times that I memorized it.
