I bought the book which contains 12 wannabe SAT tests. Although I found the Math and Writing questions to be very similar to the Blue Book's, the Critical Reading passage-based questions are just terrible. I consistently miss many more answers than when I practice with the blue book. The answers to CR questions are vague and often there is no one and single deffinite answer which you can't argue about (like in the BB).
Did any of you have the same kind of experience with the Kaplan 12 SAT book?
I am really confused because I am not totally sure whether it is my inability or the book's fault that prevents me from answering these questions...

dude I know exactly what you are saying. I'm taking the Kaplan course (parents made me though I doubt it will help) and the practice tests they offer in CR are decent--I know why I'm wrong. But then 3 days ago I took a practic PSAT from Kaplan's mainstream new PSAT book and I got 10 wrong. ***. I got more wrong than on the Kaplan class diagnostic SAT with almost 2x as many questions. The thing thats getting to me is that they explain why something is right but not why something is wrong. I frequently see more than 1 right answer. Dude I feel your pain, I couldn't even go out with friends on Sat.
