Hey has anyone here used and had a good experience with one of these books... i got a 2010 the first sat so I wanna brush up on the harder probs (esp in cr and math) to get at least a 2150...any other tips for improving scores or other good books would be appreciated too...

I use Kaplan's 2400, but based off a a bookseller's rec. She said in her experience Kaplan has always been the best. Many people may disagree with me, though.

The barron's book I used (new sat perhaps 1st ed) had methods of beating the math section which I developed myself over the years. It also teaches you the math. As for CR, Kaplan seemed more realistic.

I used Kaplan and it did help quite a bit. I became faster at the math section which was my problem before. However, I used couple of other books with it including the barron normal SAT book, the collegeboard book, and the collegeboard online course.
The math section in the Kaplan 2400, I think is better than the barrons. The math is more than a third of the book. The normal barron's is hard so the 2400 is probably harder than the usual hard. I would recommend Kaplan

Anyone know if the Kaplan Critical Reading Workbook is any good? That's what I have...

I used Barrons 2400. Albeit I only got halfway through (well 3/4 really, because I never planned to look at the math), but I thought it was a really good book and it definitely helped.

thanks guys, im leaning toward kaplans right now
