KaPLan

Anyone using Kaplan?

I used Kaplan earlier this year, I prefer Grammatix over it, but that is just me.

I've never heard of grammatix. Kaplan has been contacting me, asking me to use their private tutor service. So tell me about Kaplan and why is Grammatix better?

the Grammatix thread is on on one of the other forums. It is a 12 page discussion and there are earlier ones from a couple years ago. Order Grammatix and read it or email Matt Barrett himself. If nothing else, you can buy it and refund it. It has a nice refund policy where you can actually return it. This is opposite to Kaplan / other big name prep companies. Trust me, I scored around a 590 at the begining of Freshman year. I bought grammatix half way through last year, have been working through it and increased my score in english up to a 780, my math from a 640 to a 760 and my writing score was a 700.

Total 2240. With a bit more review and reading I'm sure I can bump my score up another 50-100 points in the next year 1/2.

If you want to improve your scores signifantly try grammatix.. if you choose Kaplan, you are a conformist and mindless sheep.. no, not really ;p... but I like Grammatix and I have to say it pwns.

Holla.

Haha, wow. So with that 580 score, was that when you were taking Kaplan?

I'm on the grammatix website right now looking at this information. It says something about a method for the critical reading? And some other things... and then what you said... :x I'm tempted...

Where do u get Grammatix?

<a href="http://www.grammatix.com%5B/url%5D">www.grammatix.com</a></p>

site is ****ty, but thats what do you get from a kid in law school ;)

I used Kaplan for like a week skimmed through it, thought I was doing well untill I factored my scores. This was pre-geometry though and pre-.....(insert revelation here) lol, I didn't just jump to that score though. I read through the book at school during required reading periods and worked at home during my free time or when AIM turned tiedious.

My mother still wants me to call KaPLan in the morning. For the private tutor thing. Ho hum. I'll try to get that grammatix thing, though. Its looking so good right now.

Do you have any opinions on the Princeton Review? I have a few friends who will be doing that.
