Kelley GPA

For those of you who are current Kelley School of Business students, how hard would you say it is to achieve a 4.0? What are some tips you can offer for getting a high GPA at Kelley?

It’s not hard by any means but it really depends on your schedule. If you have credit for courses like E201, any natural science, english comp, calc, or even finite, then you have a much better chance due to how these courses are pretty tough here. Classes like A100, K201/K204 and C104/C106 are not hard imo just a lot of work. I’m assuming you’re still in HS, so get as many credits as possible with AP exams coming up. Also use OCQ dashboard, ratemyprofessor, and the grade distribution registrar to see which teachers give out the most A’s.

It is definitely attainable. When you are scheduling, look at the grade distribution and ratemyprofessor. Your academic advisor can also give you recommendations for good teachers. There may be some tricky classes, but there are plenty of resources. Just make sure to not slip behind, especially in the shorter 8 week classes like A100.

I wouldn’t say it is impossible, but it also depends on the credits you come in with. Most first semester freshman get screwed and end up with bad professors or just a bad class in general because they don’t know of GradeDistribution, so when you pick your classes, search up GradeDistribution on google to help you navigate what professor to take. Also, a lot of freshman classes are more time consuming than difficult, so don’t procrastinate. I had a terrible first semester GPA but a great second semester GPA because I used grade distribution and really planned my classes out.

@eagle2001 You seem really knowledgeable about IU classes to take. Would there be any way I could contact you for advice? Let me know. Thanks!
