Is it difficult to get in there undergrad first year?

You gotta be decent

Thanks for the link. 32 ACT and 1450 SAT should be enough to get in…

In addition to direct admission to Kelley, a 3.7 gpa and your ACT or SAT will get you $9,000 per year automatic scholarship. Make sure your counselor reports your weighted gpa. IU will not round up to 3.7, and they will not give the scholarship unless the gpa is exactly 3.7 or higher. You must have all application materials submitted by November 1 to get the automatic scholarship. They use the gpa that is submitted by the counselor, so make sure it is the highest possible.

I know you might not like my plan, but hey this is life, nothing really comes the way we want.

If you are not confident about your gpa, and is it is BELOW 3.7, don’t bother applying to IUB. Because eventually you will be accepted by IU not Kelly. So kelly will tell you, spend the freshmen year and take the general courses, then re-apply next year, some have told me that they had really good grades mostly A’s and B’s, but one B-, this is why Kelly rejected him, so he coudn’t re-apply again and ended up with SPEA.

So (if) I were you and had a good gpa like above 3.2, I would go to the Kelly at IUPUI.

Good Luck

Kelley at IUPUI does not have anywhere near the same recruitment as Kelley at IUB. Even if you did not get into Kelley at IUB, you would probably have an easier time finding a job majoring in Economics at IUB than in Business at IUPUI.

Also, it is spelled Kelley not Kelly.

None sense, it doesn’t matter either from IUB or IUPUI, EVEN if he went to Ball State!

The business degree will be virtually indistinguishable from either Kelly’s school in IUB or IUPUI.

I don’t know about you, but I’ll definetly won’t change my whole major just to stay in some place where I’ll leave in a couple of years!

Think About It! Think About It! lol

I think that we all agree that OP’s std tests are pretty good. I saw no problems (for him/her) to get into Kelley.

I do agree with 3ajeeb that IUPUI could be a good option in case one has problem getting into Kelley at IUB. I think that the internship opportunity could be better. I would guess that it is possible to take a part time intern job during a regular semester at IUPUI. It is more difficult to do the same at IUB.

Has anyone been accepted by Kelley as DA for 2011? Thanks

I haven’t heard anything. You?

S got the notification through mail roughly one month after receiving the admission. You should get yours soon.

My daughter heard 2 weeks from Kelley 2 weeks after she was admitted to IU.

So, If you applied and your IU webpage status says Kelley SChool of Business" and Major: “Management” and you get excepted early…it might NOT be into the business school?

Kind of confusing. They encourage you to get your IU ID and go to the “accepted students” page with deposit and housing info and technically someone could send a deposit check and fill out preliminary forms and BE TOLD THEY’RE NOT in the businesss school they applied to?

A little feedback?

As an entering freshman, you will be in the Kelley School of Business only if you meet their requirements for direct admission. Otherwise, you are not guaranteed admission to Kelley. This link explains how to get into Kelley.

I have similar question. D applied major as Entrepreneurship & Corporate innovation while the web site stated business. Will that be a problem?
And what’s the time frame for all of you from receiving all info. to notification of admission ?

I got accepted.

My son was accepted to IU on Oct. 8 and then received his Kelley Admission e-mail on Nov.3, 2010. My husband found out that about 47% of Kelley students were direct admits to the B-school.
