You apply at the end of two semsters. I was a direct admit, but I hear if you get a 3.0+ (at IU) you have an average shot. If you can get a 3.3 GPA and involved in a club or two (like your resident hall's student government or judicial board) it's almost a guarentee. There are about 3X as many applications as there are spots, but two out of those three don't work hard at their classes. So my main theme is it is doable, as long as you don't go out partying every day and you spend time doing schoolwork (what you are there for to begin with).

Also, I love Indiana and you should go, they have a lot of interesting clubs (business oriented and others), and the people are cool (from my experience they love football a little too much).

But what if i go to another school, and then transfer to Kelley in my sophomore year. Is that possible? or do they prefer Indiana students over others?

If you transfer you have to be at IU for 1 semester before you can apply to Kelley. And you need to take some classes they list as requirements. Because most students have 2 semesters to do it, it would mean that one semester before you apply you would be taking all required classes (in my opinion they aren't very hard though).

what happens to people who dont get accepted and want a business degree? So you recommend me going to Indiana in the undergraduate division?

if you don't get accepted to Kelley, you're kinda screwed. You could transfer to another university, go into IU's SPEA program (School of Public and Environmental Affairs, which is tied with Harvard's (that is what they always say to make people who don't get accepted to Kelley feel better)), or if you were close to being accepted they will invite you to apply next semester. IMO it isn't hard to get into Kelley as long as you place school first and social life second (don't get me wrong, you can still have an amazing social life, one of my friends partied 4 days a week freshman year and got in, but barley). But then again I am a direct admit and don't have to stress out about writing essays and teacher rec's to get in (although right now I am stressing out about those same things to get into Kelley's honors program).

i understand. thank you so much.
