Hello, I have been admitted to Miami University’s Farmer school already and assume to be accepted into both Kelley and Illinois’ undergraduate business programs. Miami offered me good scholarships and as an Illinois resident, I don’t expect money to be an issue. However, from every website I have researched, I have discovered that Kelley is ranked far and above both Farmer and Illinois. As a prospective student interested in finance, is it a guarantee that Kelley will provide me with the best tools to get into graduate school and/or land a solid starting job? From what I hear, everyone loves the environment at Miami and the overall education at Illinois, but the opportunities out of Indiana seem to be the best. Thanks and please respond!
If you come to Kelley and utilize all of the resources possible + give a 100% effort…you’ll end up somewhere great. Keep your grades up here and you’ll have a ton of opportunities.
Weigh fit, finances and ROI. Don’t go anywhere you can’t see yourself excelling.
Kelley is a top 15 school in most reviews and absolutely at top public school for Business. Top recruitment and Internships abound. One of the surveys indicated that Kelley is ranked #1 for recruitment. But your ultimate question was about guarantees, there are none. So, give yourself the right opportunity.
But if Farmer or Illinois seems like a better fit then just maximize you’re opportunity. My son chose the Indianapolis campus of Kelley and is thriving.

Kelley is great but I will go for UIUC instead just for a brighter student body.
