I am a high school senior who will soon be making a college decision. I am fortunate enough to have been accepted to UNC/ Kenan-Flagler, and am very excited about the opportunity. However, I have also been offered a full ride to Indiana University/ Kelley School of Business. My question is, considering it would cost me $40,000 a year to attend UNC versus going for free at Indiana, are there any reasons why you think attending UNC would be worth giving up my scholarship?

Well I don’t know your financial situation, but 40k/year is a pretty serious difference. UNC is definitely more prestigous, highly ranked, well connected, and highly recruited than Kelley, but Kelley is by no means a bad school (from what I can tell, im a rising freshman too).

Personally, I feel that UNC will leave you better prepared and better positioned to face the world, however I’m not really sure that this difference is worth 160k. Also, I know nothing about campus life at Indiana U.
