I am considering all of these as possible choices to transfer to pending being accepted. I am a finance major. Kenan-Flagler seems to be most respected, but Kelley has a higher Finance ranking from USNWR. I do not want to go into I-Banking, but would like to work in NYC. What are some of the pros and cons of each program?
Also, I plan on getting my MBA eventually, so in the long run, is it going to make much of a difference which one I attend?

No. MBA programs weigh GPA, GMAT scores and work experience more than the undergrad school reputation...and among the 3 schools you listed all are respected programs.

Normalguy, all are excellent programs...Kelley and Kenan-Flager have better reputations than Fisher. But honestly, it's not going to matter in the long run which one you decide on. I would choose the school that you like better for other factors, such as campus life, location, cost, and weather.

Good luck.

I would give KF the edge in almost all areas.

I'd go to UNC, simply because it's the best overall school and the business program is well respected.

Thanks for the answers.

I would go to Indiana because Indiana is the best school in the world, and way better at everything.

I'd go to IU if you would like to work in the Midwest(Chicago) pre-MBA and UNC if you wanted to work in the Southeast(Charlotte if you are doing Finance) pre-MBA.

Post-MBA will depend on your MBA obviously.

So go where you want to live. But IU is a cooler school than OSU, and better IMO. So don't go to OSU. (unless you visit and prefer it, but not my cup of tea)

Why would you ever consider going to Ohio State if you got into those other schools?

ha. OSU is my backup. I already got accepted there. I will hear back from IU in about 1 week. If I get into IU I will not go to OSU. I am still debating whether or not to apply to UNC. Deadline is 3/1. I am strongly leaning towards IU right now though .
