ugh literally why do people do this I can’t today
it better be today bc I’m losing my mind and can’t focus on anything else. That one person said it was today and I can’t get it out of my head ughhh
I went over to the Kenyon Reddit page and a few people have called and reported that it was supposed to “on track for today.” However, there are also reports of a frustrated admissions person who says they have been trying to release results since Friday. Either it’s all trolling or maybe Kenyon is having tech issues??
Hey there - my daughter just checked and it is there. Good luck!
I got in!! Congratulations to everyone that was accepted, the wait is finally over!
rejected after all this. congrats to those who got in
Just checked. Waislisted Don’t think I’m gonna accept it. I had a strong relationship with Kenyon and thought that would help
I was accepted, although I haven’t yet recovered from the sticker shock. The total cost is a lot higher than the NPC.
Waitlist gang
Daughter just waitlisted. That makes 4 schools on the waitlist.
accepted with a $15,000/year scholarship!
Waitlist. This was the last of 15 schools - in with good merit to the other 14. So much for the streak!
D22 was accepted with merit! Whew. The wait is over. I’m very glad we found out before we show up in Gambier tomorrow for our tour.
congrats!!! I got in too!!
Accepted with $15k scholarship – and the personalized acceptance letter was super impressive.
Son got waitlisted, too. We have a strong connection as well: his cousin is a current student. Last year they had the largest class in history - maybe the waitlisting is an attempt to cull the class size just in case everyone accepts again?
S21 Accepted! No merit aid. But amazing letter. He was accepted at Lawrence U and Lake Forest College with about a $30,000/yr merit scholarship at each. Waitlisted at Grinnell, Macalester, Colby College. Rejected at Pomona, Carleton, Bowdoin.
ALSO waitlisted! We were 12/12 yesterday with (TONS of) good merit at the others.
That seems probable. Could be why they took a little bit longer to release decisions too
From what I have gathered they were about 100 students higher this year for the freshman class - 550 vs. 450. They sent 50 freshmen to Copenhagen to help with the excess. We certainly gave little reason to think he would use the spot. In the hindsight is 20/20 my DS didn’t do an interview or visit - but he did both those things for the similar schools he got in with lots of merit. I think we just lost our mojo!
