Kenyon Class of 2018

Accepted last Saturday by mail.

4.1 wGPA (very rigorous, nationally ranked high school), 2340 SAT, lots of leadership/EC, foreign internship. a sibling goes to kenyon, though i’m not sure if siblings count as legacies? i submitted an extra recommendation from my internship, tho not through commonapp, so who knows if they read it. my two teacher recommendations were in the good to great range, not sure.

still waiting on a few more colleges, but visiting kenyon this weekend. not sure if i’ll attend kenyon- the visit will help.

Leicster…I am sorry if my post came off that way, that high stat kids are bland. Far from it, my son was a national merit finalist and great stats. What I was trying to say is every college looks for something different to flavor their pot, and each year, that is something different and every college as well. They look for something unusual each year. I know how special Kenyon is, and I am keeping all the waitlisted kids in my prayers, but also hope you can feel and how good and wanted you are where you wind up :-)

I still haven’t received anything in the mail, and I can’t get into my admissions portal. I’ve tried to reset my password multiple times, but for some reason I’m not receiving the email I need to reset it. Can someone help?

call the admissions office on Monday!!!

Info today on the Kenyon blog about admissions this year, waitlist possibilities

I got in EDII; 5 on APUSH, 4 on AP Eng Lang, 35 ACT, 750 and 740 on English and US history SAT subject tests (dont remember which is which). I have ADHD and dyslexia. From California. GPA 4.1-4.25, generally slipping in last two semesters.

Off the waitlist today!!! See y’all this fall :)

@ifoundalaska how did you find out?

how many students are selected from wait-list? They told me that they will have a fairly good idea about the waitlist by mid -May.

They emailed and called me. I’ve been talking with my rep for a while-- it was super amazing to hear from him on Friday! Let me just reiterate how important communication is when trying to get off a wait list.

@ifoundalaska are you an international student?

So @International95‌ you got a merit scholarship without applying by dec 15? If so that’s a relief to us.
