Kenyon Class of 2018

Just letting you all know that Kenyon sent early writes! I received mine today (postmarked February 28th) with a scholarship.

Stats @tomatosprouts??? Kenyon is my top choice, I’m so nervous.

@collegebound752

SAT: 2140
CR: 740 M: 660 W: 740

Lit: 760 French: 800 Bio: 690

GPA: 3.86 uw, and I’m in the IB program

@tomatosprouts

Were you invited to the scholarship competition that took place on campus a few weeks ago?

sigh the mail just came and i didn’t get anything

@helloyesplease

Nope, I didn’t apply by December 15th.

@collegebound752

Don’t lose hope! They won’t mail the vast majority of their acceptances until later.

@tomatosprouts

That sucks. Is Kenyon your first choice?

@helloyesplease

It’s a very attractive choice, but I’m going to be spending lots of time making pro con lists.

Do you live close to Ohio?

I also got a letter today! Received a scholarship (“Distinguished Academic Scholar”) as well, which keeps Kenyon on my shortlist, which in turn is good because I like the school so much. My materials are also dated 2/28, so it is conceivable that they sent out a wave. The letter was rather nicely personalized; I attended the Kenyon Young Writers’ Workshop, and my letter states that people from that program were consulted during my admissions process.

@catisforfite do you live near campus? Trying to figure out if there’s hope haha

I’m afraid not; I currently live outside of the US. My package was sent through FedEx.

…crap

@catisforfite

Congrats! I found the personalization a very nice touch–they mentioned my interview.

I live outside the US as well.

It’s pretty interesting that both of you live outside the US. I wonder if the early writes are only for those living abroad/international students.

These aren’t early writes. Kenyon sends international decisions early. So if you live in the US, do not be alarmed. This doesn’t mean anything for you.

AHHH thank you.

Whoops, I’m so sorry!

any internationals received their decisions yet? my friends have received their acceptances and rejections
I havent received anything!!!
