Kenyon Interview (mega YIKES)

Hi! I’m a HS junior, and my first interview is at one of my tippy-top choice schools, Kenyon College.

Here’s a little info about me!
white female from NY strong public
gpa - 93.51 with strongest grades so far in junior year
act - 33 (36 english, 36 reading, 32 science, 29 math)
intended program of study - Double major in psychology and anthropology. If I can fit it in, I want to minor in political science.

What can I expect from my Kenyon interview? I love love love the school, and want to make a good impression. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! I did my interview over the phone with my admissions rep, so I may not be the most conventional in terms of advice, but my thoughts are: talk about what you love. My interview focused on what I do and who I am–what am I like outside of the classroom? What do I devote my time to, and why? Once you talk about those things, you start naturally having a conversation–organic things, like what its like in a certain situation, or how you handled x, etc. It’s really natural and really fun. I didn’t prepare for mine at all and it went amazingly. Just know who you are, and be ready to talk about it. Don’t be superficial! Tell them fun stories, challenges you faced, etc, as long as it comes out naturally.
