Kerry or Bush

I'd vote for Bush (too young by 6 months...dang). I'm going to concur with the early posters that I'm too sick of debates, but I'll say that my reasons for supporting him include economic issues, the war on terror, and the fact that I really can't stand John Kerry. Yes, Bush would not be my top pick for a Republican candidate (that would be McCain, atm), but his pseudo-conservative policies are still better than John "How Liberal am I?" Kerry's. So that's my 2 cents.

Bush '04
Guliani or McCain '08
Obama '12

It should have been McCain '00 and '04.

Ugh, McCain is a scumbag

Kerry although labeled as a liberal, he isn't that liberal this nation has undergone a crazy conservative revolution since reagan. this nation needs to open its eyes and not be scared away by the fear mongering propagandists
Kerry for 2004!!!!

babybird87-- McCain is a scumbag, you say. Care to elaborate on that?

I believe Bush was the one in the 2000 primaries who spread ugly lies about McCain's war service--and McCain was a POW while Bush was in the National Guard. That's unacceptable. The Bush campaign also push-polled in South Carolina, spreading rumors that John McCain had fathered an illegitimate black child, that he was gay, and that he had cheated on his wife.

Since then, John McCain has forgiven George Bush--I know I couldn't do that. So please, go ahead and provide some evidence before you call him a scumbag.

give me the quotes where Bush said those things to the public

anyway, it's not based on blah blah blah, it's based on gut instinct. when I see McCain, I cringe. I hate him. When he goes on the Daily Show and sleazes all over the place that he really doesn't like his party very much and implies he doesn't like Bush and then the next day says "I endorse Bush"...I really feel he's somewhat of a mercenary, playing both sides.

but make no mistake, if McCain were ever to run for President, the Democrats would bring all of those rumors you claim Bush personally spread back into the light. McCain is only the Democrats' darling when he's not running for office.

people! I have a dream! and that dream is me inside the presidency! vote Nos 2020!

Maybe I'll run for governor or senator one day.

http://www.selectsmart.com/president/

^ Take a quiz about it...

BUSH becuase of his stances on EVERYTHING! Foreign policy, social issues, moral issues, economic issues, etc...

the only issue I disagree with him on is the constitutional amendment banning gay marriage and certain aspects of the Patriot Act.

GO BUSH!

70% Bush. Nice.

Not Bush, Not Bush, Not Bush.
If a moderate Republican (with a moderate VP) was running, he would get my support. I consider myself a Republican, but the actions that George Bush have taken are unacceptable. I'm willing to switch sides this election and support John Kerry just to get this guy out of office.
Cheney and Ashcroft were the two bad choices for Bush. He should've dumped Cheney and brought in a moderate when he had the chance. Plus, now that Colin Powell is leaving, I have no hope for Bush. He was one of the few voices of reason in an insane administration.
And McCain definitely should have beat Bush in 2000.

McCain/Powell '08.

anything but Bush. Kerry may not be FDR or JFK but hes definitely better than bush.
But then maybe its because im french... Honestly, the guy has bashed my country so bad... i feel like kicking him in the balls...
His whole policy is based on lies. Actually the whole election is boring me to tears. Who gives a damn whether bush was in the national guard or not during the Vietnam War? Does that change his capacity to be president of the usa? I personally think that escaping from the war was the most sensible thing he did in his entire life...
Anyway, if bush gets reelected, there are going to be mass riots all over Europe (not that he really gives a damn about europe). Kerry '04 !!! :)

by the way, from an outsiders point of view, the political scale of the usa has tipped so far to the right that American liberals are way closer to European conservatives than European left-wings. Why do u think most conservative european gvt's sent people to the democratic convention and not the republican?

axfr je crois que les francais veulent bien avoir Kerry dans le White House. Quand j'etais en train de lire Le Monde, je voyais une enorme support pour Kerry.

They both are liars so stop believing them.

crayon i took that test and here are my results lol :

Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (49%)
Bush, President George W. - Republican (49%)

(applying to Harvard Princeton Yale Stanford Georgetown). SATI: Math 720 Verbal 800 (good enough or take it again?)
SAT II: not taken yet, but I've bought a prep book and hope to get 750+
My school record is pretty good. If i convert my (french) grades into american GPA, the unweighted gpa is about 3.9-4. I have no idea what the weighted gpa is. I'm one year ahead. Don't know if that counts. I've taken as many courses as I could. I'm fluent in French (and English of course) and I'm okay in German and Spanish. As for awards and all that stuff, we don't really have those sort of things in France. Sure I took part in a few Math or History contests and did ok. But thats about it. Its not that i wouldnt have been able to get awards, just that there was no opportunity.
By the way, I'm applying for Political science.
No work experience coz labour laws forbid under 16s to work (and I just turned 16 in august)
Now for EC's. My main activity is music. Ive been at the music conservatory for 6 years and I ve been playing the saxophone for 10. I play in an orchestra, Ive done jazz chamber music... And I performed in a series of concerts with professional musicians last year. (>2000 people at some concerts). Im a judo brown belt and im getting my black belt. (also 10 years)
Ive done a whole lot of minor stuff such as skiing tennis deep sea diving badminton soccer etc.
Ive also taken part in school gvt. Ive been class president the last three years.
I havent got much experience in community service, there isn't any opportunity for it here!!! My mother, some other people and me founded an Indian association (she's Indian thats how i speak english ) for fund raising and promoting indian culture in France. And I helped out a bit in a school when i travelled to India. But that's IT!
My application probably looks ok when compared to other foreign students, but it may seem a bit shallow from an american point of view...

what dya think???
