Kind of loss for major and college electives track..

I'm interested in programming (software engineering), robotics, lasers, artificial intelligence (very interested), micro-controllers, microprocessors, etc. I'm hesitant to go for CS because I want a stronger touch of hardware though I want a strong grasp on programming for careers in software engineering and AI development. I'm really lost on what to major in.

I was thinking CpE with CS electives would suit my needs well. A local school of mine (Stony Brook) ranked very high in CS and I was wondering if I should take advantage of such a strong program or would I be as well of in CpE (they are still well ranked when it comes to engineering in general) recruitment and wider job prospects. Any suggestions?

CompE for sure with additional CS electives.
