From what you know, which would be easier to get into? University of Michigan LSA or kinesiology?

Kinesiology.....

Good to hear. I applied there a couple weeks ago. For awhile I didn't know what school I was going to apply to because both were of interest to me. I decided to go with kinesiology because, if I were admitted, I have no doubt that I would absolutley love that school. This is the first time I wondered about which would be easier to get into, so I was just wondering what others thought.

anyone else have an opinion?

Kinesiology by far.

In terms of admissions:

Ross > Engineering > LSA > Kinesiology

nursing.

Keep in mind that many spots in Kinesiology are basically reserved for athletes.

yeah, I read about that a few weeks ago.

Kines is only easier for qualified applicants (i.e., students who have shown a commitment to athletics and physical therapy and motion sciences). For you typical applicant, admissions into LSA is actually easier and far less random than Kines. As CCRunner pointsout, a significant percentage of Kines majors are varsity athletes.

It tends to be harder to transfer to one of the specific schools (i.e. Kinesiology, Nursing, Engineering) after being in LSA than it is to transfer to LSA from a more specific program.
