<p>I’m sure someone will correct me on this, but those 60 awards break down into 18 Robertsons, between 18 and 20 AB Dukes, a similar number of BN Dukes, and a couple of other scattered awards. The BN Duke is awarded only to students from North Carolina and South Carolina, so that if your student is from elsewhere, there are really only about 40 scholarships available. If you are interested, I’d echo the suggestion to review the bios of the Robertson scholars. Those kids are very impressive indeed. </p>
<p>It may also be the case that someone donated money to the endowment that was specifically set aside for the purpose of these scholarships.</p>

<p>Read some of the student bios. Impressive group indeed. Noticed that there were quite a few international students too. Warms my heart to know that there are some very bright kids out there that aren’t just interested in making money but want to make the world a better place for all. Hopefully my DDs will be able to join their ranks one day… </p>
