Hi,

Why dont you try calling the NYU financial aid office and ask them to verify your financial aid package. This way you'll find out the results either way. Keep us updated

thats pretty clever

wow, thats like a really good idea, kudos to you john. lol

i thought about that too. :) you just said it first at least here.
i will call them tomorrow.

tangerine, could you do that first? lol i am scared

do it now.. i want to know

what shouldi say if they ask me for my status?
what should i say? any suggestions? hurry!
and tell me the phone number of the financial aid office

just say that you were accepted

do it, if it works ill try too

yea...i think i am rejected.
they have my name of course, with my SSN but...w/e i am not sure

tangerine you should try it too...this feels like ****

cruiser, try it. i did it and mine wasn't there. i am rejected basically.

she was like.."uh...we don't have your....did you get an acceptance letter???"

CRUISER.... its your turn.....

212-998-4444
cruiser that's the financial aid office number
it's at some separate building so don't worry
call like i did

im calling you out as bluffing kjay. gotta get up pretty early for that

johntam...do you think i am rejected?...i am so panicking..

did they really say they dont have your information or are you just bluffing?

This is not a time to fool around, be serious please. It could mean different things either way.

Has anyone else tried this trick?

no i am not joking around this is the conversation
i gave her my SSN number...then she was like..."you are...jung s. lee?" "yes that's me" "ok......and......jason did you get an acceptance letter?"
then i knew that i didn't get in...
"no i did not get it yet"
then she said
"maybe that's why, do you want me to transfer to the admission office?"
"no thanks"
the end

that could mean that they're unwilling to tell you information because you have not received the official letter

KJayson7, I feel your pain. I still haven't recieved a notification letter yet either. I'm from a private school in New Jersey and there are other students from my school who haven't heard yet either. Where is the letter? Do you know of anyone that has already been rejected? I've heard that people who are a "shoe-in" will get their letters before the 15th and students who are still "on the table" will find out later. It's pretty depressing that someone from Hawaii or from Korea has recieved a letter before we have. Hopefully we'll hear tomorrow.

my bets are on saturday/monday for all of us
