I’d like to point out that the three people who spotted this first – you, UCBChemEGrad and myself are trained chemical engineers!

GoBlue,
Speaking of that, I also spotted the following:
But then, he goes,
Interesting, isn’t it?

Tier 2 - Carnegie Mellon

What?

Sam,
I missed that. It must be the liberal arts education you received at Northwestern.

Who’s on first? Three Chem engineers.

Interesting that some believed that garbage deserved a … second look. :)

“I know insecurities when I see them.”

Of course you do Angeal. You’ve already told everyone that you have been on this board for a long time under many different screen names, that you like to quote old acceptance rates that are out of touch with current realities, and that I bash other schools which is what you just exacty did to Michigan.

Once again, Michigan was inserted in the title of this thread by a current Duke student who sought to demean this school, Northwestern, and the general area both are located in. I just responded to the slight.

It’s like the National Enquirer, “Enquiring minds want to know.” I’m sure you’ve rubber-necked too, xiggi. :)

I have a friend teaching in this kind of program as a side job on Saturdays. He’s white and the owner is Korean. The owner would ask one of the kids to take the on-line MBA class for him. Everything was done in cash and apparently, IRS may not even know the business. It’s in Greater Los Angeles too.

The outdated website kinda reminds me of that. It’s probably done by one of the kids there few years ago and hasn’t been changed since then. Notice the poor presentation - “SAT I score” “ED Data” “RD Data” instead of more specific and clear terms like middle 50%, admit rate…etc. For WashU, the “1470” was the number of students enrolled, not admitted. That’s a pretty bonehead mistake but understandable if he/she was just an average high school student. I haven’t even looked at other numbers closely yet.

That is why I mentioned the “second look” as in looking past the first page. Of course, I had to look at what the Berkeley Learning Center might look like. I did expect this:

^^^Classic. LOL

Like I stated prior, it’s a bit amusing to see OP (and other Dookies) so desperate to put down other schools.

So true.

Also, plenty of Korean-Am/Korean students at Northwestern (ranging from the “whitewashed” to those who hang out w/ mostly other Korean students, wearing all black w/ a cigarette on their lips).

Funny how OP takes something as ludicrous as this seriously, but then is awfully quiet on this thread.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1250200-international-survey-recruiting-top-colleges-ny-times.html

But then again, I guess there’s a reason why Duke students make this list.

[America’s 25 Douchiest Colleges: Humor: GQ](<a href=“GQ: America's 25 Douchiest Colleges | GQ”>GQ: America's 25 Douchiest Colleges | GQ)

Speaking of lack of attention to detail, it seems like OP shares something in common w/ the purveyors of the BLC.

NU and Amherst have higher SAT scores than schools like Cornell, UCB, Georgetown, Hopkins, etc.

I can’t recall when NU’s SAT scores/grades were ever lower than Georgetown’s much less UCB - so it’s not like this is merely outdated info., it’s incorrect info.

I guess it’s no coincidence that UCB is ranked in Tier 1 and that the founder of BLC is UCB grad, or that UCLA (which, btw, also has a ridiculously high SAT score range) is ranked in the 2nd Tier while UMichigan and UVA are ranked in the 3rd tier.

The fact that the SAT score range for Amherst/Williams, NU and WUSTL are the same for the likes of UCLA and BC is ridiculous - or the fact that CMU, Emory and Tufts have a range lower than that of UCLA and BC.

Also, Stanford’s range is lower and should be with the grouping of Penn, NU, UChicago, WUSTL, Duke, etc.

Frankly, based on what I see on the BLC site, I wouldn’t put much credence in what they have to say (that is unless one is a person as gullible as OP).

It’s more “manipulated” (or “manufactured”) info to fit the clientele. See how neatly the ducks all lined up…
