L&S to Haas

This might be a stupid question, but can I switch to Haas if I got into L&S? I applied as economics. I finished all the business prereqs except for one English class (that's why I didn't apply to Haas).

I think it says no on the Haas webpage, but maybe there are some exceptions....?

I highly, highly doubt it. It even says in your letter of acceptance that specific majors do not allow admitted transfer students into them (i.e. political science, business econ, psychology, sociology, etc).

You can try though. During Orientation, you will meet face to face with an academic counselor, so you can ask her (or him) about switching majors.

I’m planning on switching to a suspended major, so I’m kind of in the same boat. I think it’d be harder to switch into a suspended major than an impacted one, but that’s just me.

“Students admitted as junior transfers to UC Berkeley’s College of Letters & Science or other majors are NOT eligible to apply to the Haas Undergraduate Program. In addition, we cannot review applications from students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree.”

Sounds like a no. You could try asking an adviser anyways, but Haas is pretty competitive to begin with…

I was thinking of UCLA, sorry, but based on what @failure622 said, it’s the same result.
