<p>For those of you living in SoCal, how do you guys get up North?</p>

<p>Yesterday, I drove 7 hours there and 7 hours back, and I really couldn’t stand it.
So, how do you guys get up there? Drive or fly?</p>

<p>Fly out of Sacramento.
Southwest Airlines.
Carpool with fellow Aggies to and fro SoCal.
Pack plenty of snacks.</p>

since it’s 20 miles away, how might I get to UC Davis?</p>

<p>From Sacramento International Airport to Davis

  • Yolobus Line #42 leaves the Sacramento Airport every hour at 20 minutes after the hour between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. and arrives at the Memorial Union on the UC Davis campus about 45 minutes later. No reservations are required. Inexpensive ($1 per person) prices may have gone up,check online.
    • Taxi service is also available at the airport, at a cost of approximately $38.
      Super Shuttle.
      Friends with cars.</p>

<p>You take Yolo Bus Line 42B to get from the airport to UC Davis and you take Yolo Bus Line 42A to get from UC Davis to the airport.</p>

<p>Students with a valid UC Davis undergraduate ID (with the blue dot on it showing that it is up-to-date) ride for free. Otherwise the cost is $2.00 per one-way fee.</p>

<p>the yolo 42b bus takes u directly from right outside the doors of the airport to ucd. about a 35 min ride.</p>

<p>probably an a 1:30 to 2 hours. its like SFO to LA and vice versa.</p>

<p>Done the drive and know what you mean!! The flight is approx. 1 1/2 hours - much quicker than driving!</p>

<p>My d is a freshman. She flies Jet Blue to Long Beach (I think they fly to Burbank and Ontario also?). It’s an hour and twenty minutes (sometimes less). MUCH easier than LAX. She takes the bus to/from the Sac airport (it’s free to students) and it’s not too far.</p>

<p>D flies Southwest, Jetblue does not fly to Ontario from Sacto. If you fly Southwest, sign up for Ding! and they will send you deals, got a great deal for her over spring break $80 r/t!</p>

<p>Jet Blue is having a sale—today only—$9 fare from the bay area to LA-----jump on it! Then just train it up to Davis!</p>

<p>When you get your Reg card (student ID) you’ll be able to ride the Yolobus free… until then, I think it’s two bucks to ride… which still isn’t bad at all :)</p>
