labeling belongings?

FallGirl - what you said…exactly. (Well almost “exactly” - I’m talking about a son, not a daughter!!)

Fallgirl, I’m trusting, afraid and according to my husband “out to lunch!”

I don’t label anything in an area that would be embarressing.

However, years ago when expensive graphing calculators were required by my kids’ schools, their school insisted that parents use Sharpies to write the kids’ names on the topside of the calculators AND the school registered each serial number. I guess they just wanted to be pro-active against any possible theft or misplacement.

Their school also insisted that every uniform jacket have the kids’ last names embroidered on the left front area (last name only, so they could be “handed down” within families… ).

Kids both went to summer programs where clothes had to be labeled…lots of the same clothes went to college with both. DS is 25 and still has labels in some of his clothes. He has a laundry marker for his clothes.

Calculator was etched in high school and was STILL stolen…and never recovered. Even so…all that “stuff” is labeled.
