Hi.

I'm a student from El Salvador and I'm looking to apply to colleges that give very good financial aid to international students with HIGH need, meaning that they will need at least 90% of the total cost of attendance.

So far I'm applying to Grinnell, Brandeis, Oberlin, Lafayette, Macalester, and Colorado College.

I got rejected ED from Colgate, probably because of my financial situation.

I don't have any SAT subject test nor ACT, so colleges like Vassar or Pomona (which I would LOVE to apply) don't apply to me.

Any advice guys? Please.

I was thinking of applying to either Trinity or Connecticut college, but I don't know if their cheap with financial aid.

Anyone knows of other good colleges that give amazing financial aid?

Thanks!

I have heard comments that they accept few international students with need, and their deadline is on January/1. They ask only for a paper application, and I doubt my application will arrive in time by that date :(

Anyone knows any other college?

Thanks for your help though!

bump anyone can give me their advice? :)

Berea ONLY accepts students with need. It’s a pre-requisite that you should need a lot of financial aid.
It is however extremely selective since all admitted internationals get a near full-ride - only 5% get in.

Guille, it’s hard to help you because there are many LACs that offer generous financial aid – for maybe a couple of students per year. It’s a very competitive process.

My one advice is to use search engines and target schools in the middle and in the south of the U.S., where there is less competition from other international students for those limited funds.
