nobody's being too sensitive here, zoolander. and all I was commenting on was your use of the word "normal". okay, you've noticed that there are so many asians at stern, but is that a problem? and is there a reason it should be so shocking?

Stern is known for its mainly international population. Meh, I think it's funny. They're silly and uptight in their little suits anyway. One of these days they'll realize GPA isn't all there is to life. One of these days.

clone22, the percentage of international students at NYU is below 10%....im sure the percentage at Stern will also be somewhere close to that figure

quag_mire, I get the opposite impression from my school. About 4 people, all Chinese, applied to Stern ED, got rejected, except for one white guy - not angered by him, but he didn't take as intensive a workload as the other people. <shrug></shrug>

omg ***. most of the people who go to stern are pompous jerks, but there are a few who are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

YES, a lot of them are asian, indian, jewish, whatever the hell you want to call them but THIS IS NEW YORK CITY AND THIS IS 2008. HELLOOO!? no one is abnormal at nyu.

before i came to nyu i had never met a gay person or a jewish person. now, my two best friends are gay and jewish. broaden your horizons.

If you're not from nyc, it is something you might notice if you come here for the first time, esp from a mostly white suburb. So yeah, it would be an adjustment, but not a huge one. You'll get used to it after a while.

Change that to "NYC Metro Region". I am in the suburbs of Manhattan. And, like, half my school is either asian or Jewish. Not saying it's a bad thing. But, it's diverse. (And I like it, haha.)

Well the other day I was visiting the NYU area , and thought I had wondered into China town. Then I realized I was just beside the Stern building.
