Lack of Fraternities

Just looking for honesty here: although I’m very focused on academics, I drink and smoke… alot. I’m interested in BC because I like how it is very well rounded (Basically in boston, great academics, great sports, not too small, not too large), but the absence of greek life concerns me. All in-dorm drinking just doesn’t sound too appealing, and before I am overly criticized for that comment YES it is an assumption, feel free to productively prove me wrong. Just curious as a question to current/former students, how do you feel this impacts the social scene?

i am a upcoming soph, ALthough there are no frats not all drinking is in ur dorm room. most of the parties are either in the Mods (senior housing on campus), or in off campus houses, as a freshman guy it is obviously harder to get into parties however if ur with girls it isnt a problem. also there are alot of people who go to the bars on thursday nights, there is still alot of drinking in the dorm rooms however if u want to go out u defiantly can
