Lack of intellectualism?

Do any current Penn students agree with this? Can you please explain?

I am only wondering about this because of the reviews I read at studentsreview.com. I was actually quite supriseed at how many people were saying things of this nature.

i've heard this, too, but i don't think it's completely true...i doubt that everyone discusses physical chemistry over lunch, but i'm sure there are ppl who stay up until all hours of life trying to figure out what it all means...i think it's a lot like any other college in that it probably depends on who you hang out with...but then again, i don't start until next fall...
penn is an ivy league school, so you know that your classmates are intelligent, or, regardless of legacy/wealth/connections/etc, they wouldn't be there...i'm sure that if you were to start an intellectual conversation, there'd be plenty of ppl who would join in

There are people at Penn and any school who are there just to get their grades and don't want to talk about it. But there are many, many more (I feel) who are very into intellectual conversations about all sorts of things. Just find people who share your area of interest.

One of the things I love about Penn is people's ability to combine intellectualism with binge drinking :-D

I never trust Studentsreview.com, the samples aren't really statistically viable, as people who go there are either people who love it or have a grudge against it...
