Lacking ecs?

I'm currently a junior.
My freshman gpa was a 3.990, sophomore a 3.977, and so far my junior is a 4.150, these are all weighted.
I have taken the hardest courses available that work with my schedule, this year I'm taking:
apush, B+/A-, B+ final
ap eng lang, don't know yet
ap cal ab, A first semester, don't know about second
latin 3 h, A
anatomy h, don't know for sure but 98% sure it'll be an A
art 3 h A
physics tutor A

sophomore year:
us history 1 h A-
physics h b
latin 2 a
art 2 a
adv alg&trig a
pre cal h a-
chem h a
eng h a-

I am currently ranked 9th out of about 250 kids. My school isn't in the best area and has a low demographic, will that help?

ECs:
varsity tennis, third year
YMCA swim team, third year
Girl Scout, since first grade, bronze and silver award recipient, working on gold...
Library volunteer, since fourth grade-I started a monthly literacy program for kids because my library's budget was cut, it was my silver award project, despite earning the award, I still run the program, on the other nights I fix books, shelve, etc...
These are all my ecs, how weak are they?

What are my chances at the following schools: Brown(high reach I know), William and Mary, Univeristy of Rochester, Vassar, Ohio Wesleyan, Oberlin and NYU.

Thank you!

I’m also in National Honor Society.

I don’t see you as lacking ECs and I can’t chance you for those schools. But one word of advice is apply to more schools.

So they’re all to high of reaches…I’m interested in anthropology, so what schools should I be applying to?

No they are not all high reaches. I’m just not familiar enough with these schools to chance you. What are your SAT scores?

I haven’t taken it yet, I’m taking the one in May, but going off my psat scores, I should get about 710 cr, likely to go up thanks to ap eng and 680 m, I should easily get a higher math score, I forgot the psat wasn’t high level math and started taking the derivative of things and maximizing area rather than just finding area… /:
Is it better to take the sat or act?

It depends on the person. D2 did very well on the PSAT but did terrible on the ACT. Buy some practice books and try it out to see which format you like better.

You really need to take tests and tell us those scores for us to chance you. The only school I really know about is Brown, which is a high reach, and NYU, which I would say is high match.

Good luck :)

I think you have great ECs!

I’d say a match for NYU and Oberlin and Brown and Vassar as reaches.

Good luck! Do well on the SAT and ACT!

Thanks, most posts I see list ten plus ecs so I was nervous!

Your ECs are fine, but I can’t really chance without an ACT or SAT score. If you do well on one of those tests, I would say that you are a match for all of your schools except Brown (reach for literally everyone) and maybe Vassar. Good luck!
