How would you assess whether one school’s alumni network is better than another’s?</p>
<p>I gather it has something to do with making connections in business. If so, I would not think LACs have especially good alumni networks. They are small schools. A high percentage of their graduates go on to graduate and professional school. In those cases, I would think the business or law school relationships are more important to business deals. </p>
<p>If I were trying to start up, say, a new tech firm, I doubt I’d be getting on the phone to contact former classmates or random alumni. I’d try to build contacts from within that industry (for example, by attending conferences and marketing events).</p>
