<p>Hi, I am an international student and basically I have a choice between these two schools. </p>
<p>Lafayette offers me financial aid which covers half the tuition yet Rice has no financial assistance for me.</p>
<p>Money is an important factor. I think that Rice has better reputation (maybe) and I am wondering whether it is worth to pay for the extra money to attend Rice or not.</p>
<p>Can anyone compare these two schools based on </p>
<ol>
<li>academic prestige</li>
<li>grad placement for math and engineering</li>
<li>strength of math and engineering programs</li>
<li>social scene</li>
</ol>
<p>Intended Major: kind of undecided but probably sth related to XXX engineering or Math</p>
