My D was accepted ED in the fall. Has anyone who was accepted ED received anything on housing, etc.? I thought they were supposed to be out in March. Also, I know the orientation is online, but has anyone gotten any correspondence?

I am also wondering. I thought we would get priority housing. I sounds like everyone got the housing survey online. I have not heard one word from BU since I received my one page acceptance and pop-up map. Do you know if we are invited to the accepted students open house?

I'm in the same boat. I think the open house is more to convince students to go to BU than to re-win the now disgruntled ED crowd. My best guess on housing is that we get a boost in whatever lottery system they use for housing. I'm going to call the admissions office right now . . .

Update: The BU admissions office has no idea why we don't have that link. We are invited to the open house, they say. They're "definitely going to look into that".

An Open House? Is that the same as the Summer Orientation? Which link are we talking about? On the Orientation page it says that you can register for orientation starting 4/1, I believe.

I did check out the housing page and there was a survey there for fall 2005 students.

Mine def did not say tentitive --just the speal that "unfortunately we are unable to award you any grants or scholarships because your EFC is too high" Maybe you will receive additional $. Good luck!!

Update: Our CAS Open House RSVP links do not work. They redirect us to the login screen. I tried using an RSVP link another CAS acceptee told me, but the page was not displayed. Interestingly, the CAS Open House RSVP page frame was viewable, but not the main frame (with the content I was seeking).

Do you know if we will receive a packet in the mail from BU, or is everything done online? I was expecting something- maybe a letter from the Dean at COM welcoming me to the program. Have any ED people heard from BU?

My S submitted the housing interests survey yesterday. I hope that when housing gets it, they check and see "hmm, we already have his $650 deposit" because it was sent last January and then assign him to a dorm. Technically ED does not have preference in housing, but I think that the earlier you commit the $650, the faster you'd be assigned. Because all ED's sent their deposits already, they should get first choice, don't you think?
Also, I hope that orientation checks and sees his deposit is there and send his registration stuff pronto so we can choose which session to attend.
