Language? Arabic?

Should I take Arabic with no prior experience?

I've been taking Spanish in High school, but I am no longer interested in it, and after a trip to Spain, I just don't have the passion for it as I used to. During that trip, I spent a day in Morocco, and I fell in love with Arabic. Every evening I go online and learn a new word, I just really like it. Would it be difficult for me to take Arabic in college with no prior experience? I've heard its a difficult language to learn, but I think I'm ready to take that on, its just that I dont want to jump into an Arabic class with people that have experience already. From the Cornell point of view, how are the Arabic classes? Are they enjoyable?

look at ratemy professor if you can find out who teaches the intro arabic courses. Honestly, it can't be that bad and usually they say that you can only be in the course if you are not a native speaker/no prior experience. they have placement tests, and although some people lie and get into the easier class, its easy to tell. I am a transfer student from university of michigan and i took chinese, and although there were a lot of native or partly native speakers, it wasn't that difficult to get a good grade. I will probably be taking Arabic next year at Cornel...I wanted to take it at u of m but the classes were too full. it has an alphabet, so it can't be as difficult as chinese ;) if you love the language, take it.

Intro to Arabics is for students with no prior experince...i would recommened that you take the class and if you don't like it or you think you can't handle it then just drop it after few weeks. From what i have heard so far, Intro to Arabic is that hard.
