Language tests don't count for much?

Is it true that if you're a native speaker and you get an 800 on the SAT II, colleges won't value it? I'm applying to some colleges that require 3 SAT II and I currently have Chinese, Biology, and Math IIC. Do I need to take a 4th one because I'm a native Chinese speaker?

the chinese sat will satisfy the requirement for the three sat subject tests, but it probably wont be that impressive, since you are a native speaker. you dont have to take a fourth one, but if you could if you wanted.

thanks andreaaaaaa

did u count a's before you wrote the name? hahaha

haha, i never imagined that i would use collegeconfidential so much when i made this name. i typed in andrea, and it was taken, so i just pushed the A key. im just not very creative, i guess.

yea, you already have 1753 posts and 41 threads - one of the old members

You have to check out the university's site. I saw it on some uni's site that you can't use a sat ii language score if that language is your native language. I'm not sure if that's harvard's site, but i'm pretty positive that it's an ivy league's.

I think u shouldn't use that chinese mark if you are taking another sat ii cuz it sorta implies that you are going for the easier tests instead of challenging yourself which is what the universities want. And it probably also implies that there's no other subject you are good at so that you have nothing to show them beside chinese...
