what about a engineering major? mac or pc? I really like mac but not sure if it is right for my major? Also if I got a mac couldn’t i get software for engineering for mac?

As a junior marketing major, my old Dell Inspiron 6400 broke in November after 3 years of usage. It was hefty(6 pounds), huge(15.4 inches) and a pain to carry in the bag.

I researched a lot of laptops and eventually came to the Lenovo Thinkpad X200. It was a sales, so I was able to buy mine for 850 shipped. I take it to all my business classes, as it replaces paper and pencil note-taking quite succinctly. It is a 12.1 inch laptop, and with my 9 cell battery, which gets from 7 to 12 hours of battery life, weighs in at 3.5 pounds. Build quality is great, and the keyboard is second to none.

Then again, a lot of my classmates have macbook pros and macbook airs. I guess its a status thing lol.
