<p>I coudl use some help on this issue.</p>
<p>A laptop would offer me great portability, but for my price range ($1,000-1,500), I coudl get way more out of a system if I went with a desktop (I liek to game). However, I think a laptop would be better (more portable, etc.). What are your thoughts on this current Colby students, or jsut anyone in general. Also, what choice did you, or are you gonig with?</p>

<p>I am planning on getting a laptop; however, I live in Missouri and plan to travel home during breaks so laptop is the most convenient option for me. Desktop seems like too much work; however, if you live in Maine or somewhere close I think that getting a desktop would not be such a bad idea considering your love for games and price range.</p>

<p>heh, thanks for the help though! :-). I'm definately gonig with a laptop. I think that taking it to the library would be a definate plus (I hate to handwrite, argh, lol). Now the question is... which one? I think I'll wait two or three more months just to squeeze that much more chance of getting a better, cheaper laptop, heh.</p>

<p>I have no idea yet...but I am a sony freak(I have everything sone: a CD player, a Stereo, a DVD player), so I am guessing that I will get a sony laptop, however, I am not for sure. The only problem is price but I need to do some more research. I am not that knowledgeable about computers so any help you can give me, as far as models and etc., will be much appreciated.<br>
