I'm bringing my laptop with me to my dorm (obviously,) but I'm worried about it getting stolen. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it safe (other than just locking the room door?)

You can do a laptop lock, which locks the laptop to your table using a special cable lock that plugs into your laptop. For example:

those reviews arent saying much about it…

If you’re in Murphree, the desk have a section where you can put stuff you want to lock up and use a pad lock. Not sure about other dorms.

Be sure to mark down the serial number so you can tell the police if it’s stolen. Otherwise, they will probably never find it. I recommend the laptop lock too. I have one if you want to buy it for $5 or something too. I never use it anymore
