I heard they sell them slightly more expensively than market price. I was wondering if you get financial aid, could you buy them significantly cheaper than market price? Is the price you have to pay for the laptop graduated according to how much aid you receive?

The laptops through sci are slightly more expensive than you could buy from apple, because they come with all of the software + the max warranty. It turns out to be a good deal, plus they have tech support which is really nice (and will give you loaner laptops). If you get outside grants, you can use them to buy a computer through SCI. I’m not sure how it works if you are on full financial aid but have not gotten any outside scholarships (ie national merit/byrd or something like that)

thanks! anyone else?

No.

Things are not cheaper for people on financial aid.
