Large State School vs. Small Private School

I am going to be a senior in high school this year, and am considering doing pre-med with a humanities major in college. As I look at colleges, I am confused as to which will give me a better chance of getting into med-school; a small private school such as Ursinus, Drew, Muhlenberg etc. or a large public school such as Pitt. I am the type of person in which science does not just come natural to me, in other words I am going to have to spend a lot of time working at it outside of class, as I assume most people do. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

BUMP! Come on guys????

How extreme is your "humanities major"? If you're going into history or something, I would go to a smaller college because the departments don't conflict so much. I'm interested in music and biology, and big places like IU were bashing me over the head for suggesting it. Liberal Arts colleges are much more understanding and flexible. Plus, the professors will help you learn, whereas at big universities they just lecture (that's not to say they're worse, that's just the nature of the situation, if you have hundreds of kids in the class it isn't humanly possible to give each individual attention).

I don't know any of the schools you listed because I'm from a hick place in California. However, if they're equal academically, I don't know why a good medical school would give more weight to someone who went to a place with lots of students versus a place with fewer students.

like...grapes of wrath hick place tkm? haha

Na, but I live in "Wine Country"....
