Any more improvements/encouragements/worries?

I agree with fusion.
3/4 of the people in my school don't fully understand a parabola (i go to a pretty strange school >.>). They don't take challenging classes. They are in a sense, dumb. If you take more challenging classes there is a correlation to higher SAT scores because you know more than the average student and you PROBABLy have better study habits.

2005 PSAT: 550 W
June 2006 SAT: 630 W
I have only taken the SAT once, without studying for it. Over the summer, I took a few practice tests and improved my score range to 690-800. Hopefully I do that well on the actual SAT.

Yay! I never figured I'd be able to post my own scores on this thread.
1930 (620 W, 640 M, 670 CR)
2280 (790 W, 710 M, 780 CR)

I studied, but I think it was more an attitude thing, honestly. I took practice tests (from the blue book), but I stopped when I got a score I was satisfied with. I went over the questions I got wrong on the practice tests after taking them, as well as a night or two before the test. I went into the test knowing I could get a good score, and I think that's what really helped.

1430 -> 1570

Went from 50th to 75th percentile

100 points increase in verbal.
I had never scored about a 700 in a practice test.

Sophomore year: 1880
Practice test senior year: 2070
Practice test a week later: 2170

Dec-who knows...but aiming for at least mid 2100s!!!!

Girl at my school:

1800 -> 2110 -> 2260

She used a Princeton Review tutor and the Blue Book (at least I would think so).

I got a PSAT ~ 180

Then this November I got a 1460 (M + V); my school don't care about writing, so I didn't care. But its like a percentage wise about a 2200

that's in 1 year!

on practice tests i have improved 270 points and the improvement has just started....

Jan 2006: 2160 (CR 670, M 740, W 750, Essay 8)
Nov 2006: 2300 (CR 730, M 770, W 800, Essay 9)

CR was my weak point, so I completely focused on this by only doing CR sections everyday for a week before the test. On the last day, I reviewed math and writing by doing two sections of each. I also decided (with a friend's help) to use a personal experience for my essay instead of literature and history: it's much easier.

My advice is focus on your weakest point and drill it to death.

My crazy story:

2005 PSAT: Cr:59 M:71 W:72
Total: 202

2006 SAT: Cr:770 M:770 W:790
Total: 2330
