Hehe. Ballah status. =D

Well, no, that’s not all that matters. Especially on a forum focused on resume building. ;-)

Your scores are too low for any of those colleges. have you thought abotu your local City college?

I direct you guys to mega-society’s [chances thread](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/719999-chance-me.html) if you think that no colleges want her.

mega-society seems like such a cliche student. Her GPA sucks. Her ECs aren’t even that special.

Her only “hook” is her SAT scores. She might have high SAT and SATII scores but that won’t guarantee placement. I know tons of kids who got 2300+ on their SATs and had the same stats as her - they weren’t admitted to any Ivys.

And furthermore, I don’t think you guys understand what HEOP/EOP is. That’s what beatfreaks is going for. He wouldn’t be a regular admit.

miss_murd3r - I’d call running two non-profits pretty special, but that’s just me.

But yeah, let’s get back to the main topic. I know what EOP/HEOP is, but I still don’t think that beatfreaks has a chance.

Incidentally I’m not applying to a laundry list of Ivys, Murder.

mega-society; one word – seriously?

Your stats are average babe. PLEASE let me know if you get into Yale, Brown, etc. I will kiss the ground you walk on, if you get in, because babe, with those stats: not gonna happen ;]. 2000+ SAT doesn’t gaurantee placement like miss_murd3r said, all the kids applying there have 2000+ SAT. So mega-society: your NOT a ballah! lmao.

and djkovic: Im only going to apply to these 5 schools. Cross your fingers for me and I hope I get in. 5 school list FTW!

Keaseby Nights…=))))))))<— those are chins hehe.

HEOP and EOP are programs that colleges have for admits who are under represented minorities with a low EFC, but with good qualifications. They have a cutoff for the number you can score on the SAT, a cutoff which beatfreaks does indeed meet.

Cornell has a good EOP program and so does Columbia.

Keasbey; running two non-profits can be special, I’m not arguing that. I see no hook though. And if her essays suck, well then…she’s out of luck. She seems to be the kind of person in a pool of contenders - all of which don’t have that “hook.”

With that being said - good luck.

beatfreaks - are you calling me fat? But seriously, you need to apply to more than those five schools. It’s not like applying to a lower college will give you a bad education.

miss_murd3r - not everybody has a hook. A hook is pretty much URM status, legacy, or athletic recruitment. Quite obviously the Ivies aren’t filling themselves with that.

I have other schools I plan on applying to so thanks guys. All of your input has been great. My plans:

Not to apply to any schools but Community Colleges. =D. I’ll deff. get in a CC. Hehe, thanks guys. =D = D =D =D

Keasbey nights, no, I actually like you, your one of the nicest repliers here! lol. And I know there’s nothing wrong with schools below those. I was just asking my chances for THOSE schools. I dont even plan on applying to UChicago, I was just curious, but no, everyone had to “Your dumb111z” lol. But yeah thanks Keasbey, YOUR input along with miss_murd3r has been very helpful. You guys are ballahs! lol

Beatfreaks, my SAT score is something like 900 points higher than yours. Enough said.

Keasbey, I’m not arguing that at all. I just think that hooks set you apart from the usual generic applicants that apply with the high GPAs and the 2400s.

To me, mega-society will probably come off as a super obnoxious student in her essays. She’s certainly coming off that way now.

Keasbey - can you chance me?

Great. Now lets see you get into those schools, bay-bayyyyyyyy. =]

I wish I can be there when you get rejection letters from Yale and Brown. That look/your crying would be priceless =]

mega-society - you may have an outrageously high SAT score but I guarantee you that you:

Will get nowhere in life with that attitude.

Need to get a life.

Have no friends.

Are overly obnoxious.

Your GPA sucks. Enough said.
:)

I have a legacy at Brown. Neither of them are my top choices. I’d love to see you rejected from EVERY SCHOOL YOU APPLIED TO.

Hehe, you obviously didn’t read my post about me being curious about the schools I listed.

“I have a legacy at brown” – You and everyone else. Haha. I would love to argue with you but unlike you, I have a life.

We can both do something-- raise those SAT scores haha.

HAHA miss_murd3r is a ballah! ballah status!!!

mega-society - Legacy admits aren’t guaranteed. You’d love to see him get rejected from every school, but it won’t happen.

Guys, this is getting out of hand. miss_murd3r, I’m actually friends with mega-society, so number three is disproven. And her GPA doesn’t really suck. mega-society, quit being mean to beatfreaks. And both of you shouldn’t actually be wishing rejection upon each other.

Back to our regularly scheduled program, folks.
