  4. Average: APUSH teacher who knows my struggle in history, yet I applied myself and ended with an A.

Essays:
I’m not the strongest writer, but my UC ones was pretty good. I’m average, but I spent all my time on USC, and a college writing pro liked mine.

CommonApp: 9/10 nothing for Me to improve, but I guess it could be if someone went deep enough.
USC Supplement: 8/10 I did in the last week and I liked it but then again, it was a week.
UC: 8.5-9/10 spent a lot of time on it and did what I could.
Occidental: idk bc I copied and pasted from USC
Vanderbilt: 7/10 I liked it at the time, but now I see room for improvement.

Financial issues: my family is low income (40-50k). Need lots of FA.

Other: I’m an Korean male living in Southern California at a Christian school. I have been improving since freshman year, and I want colleges to know that. I know they see my grades, but please acknowledge that I did most of these stats in sophomore and junior year.

thanks CC, just waiting for decisions now. Last chance, I promise haha. Again, will chance back. thanks for reading.

What is your UC GPA?

@QuiteAverage90 probably 4.3. Not 100% sure but I know its 4.25-4.35

UCI- Low Match
UCSD- Match
UCB- High Match
UCLA- High Match
Cal Poly SLO- Match
USC- High Match/Low Reach (good upward trend though)
WashU in St. Louis- Reach for everyone
Vanderbilt- Low Reach
CWRU- Match/High Match
Northeastern- Match/High Match
Cal Poly Pomona- Safety

I do not know much about the other schools on your list. But, I’m pretty sure your upward trend will help a lot at most of these schools.

@QuiteAverage90 thanks! i think I agree alot on your chances but I love it!
will it help that my essays were pretty good? Compared to others, I am confident that they are really good. Not to sound arrogant, but college admission people have liked it. thanks again!

No need to chance me, but I got into Vandy and Northeastern, so you have a good chance. I too am hoping for WUSTL.

@DaPueo nice! my rank is nowhere nears yours, but I hope we both get into WashU! USC is my dream school, and good luck!
