in light of recievingmy sat @ scores i woudl really liek to change my nov 6 SAT 1 to the subject tests. I know the deadline is 2.5 weeks before but I only discovered that it was possible to do this today. So yeah, how would I go about this?
I know for sure that there will be place at the testing centre (i live in the uae), howver chances are I won't be able to contact them as it's a public holiday right now (eid), which will extend till sunday).
I'm also guessing that as a last resort it is possible for me to show up as a standby tester, which means that I'd have to pay $120 (18 + 8x3 sat 2 fee + 36 standby + 21 intnl + 21 late fes). correct me if I'm wrong on this please.

However given that I've already paid a $41.50 SAT 1 fee and the $21 intl fee, could I get away with just paying another $20 to change it? Which comes to $81.50?
Would they even be willing to change it at such a late date (even given that I will definitely have a place?)
I know the obvious answer is to call collegeboard (ets?), which I will do later on ( it's 3 30am here) but yeah, any light on this please?

they wont change it especially for internationals...
sorry man the best u can do if u dont want to pay the 120$ is call them and change it to the december test date and thats 20 dollars too i think...or pay the 120 and go standby but im pretty sure they wont change it

crap well i need it for an ed :(
I've heard sat 1s are weighted more than sat 2s though, is this true?

my sat one (june) was 2200 - 800 cr 770 writing and (eek) 630 math (having given it up after gcses 2 years ago). I hear schools aren't really attatching any importance to the writing test this year though, so I'm effectively at 1430.
my sat 2s (oct) were 700 maths 1c, 680 french, 680 eng lit. ( I was expecting 750+ for both, duno waht happened there. I shoudl definitely be able to raise it in a retake though).

given these scores (the school being columbia ed), what would it be better for me to retake? (if it comes down to it i can pay the 120 but i really don't want to do that AND lose the first 62/pay an extra 20 for dec)
so what should I go for? (I gues I'll find ut tomorrow whether i can change for cheap or not).

I know that CB allows last minute test center changes, space permitting, and they may allow the same for SAT I to SAT II changes. Call them and ask if you can take the SAT II's, space permitting, and just get charged for the registration change fee.

grr. well I did call them and it was going through fine (albeit me having to pay $73 - the subject test , late, intl and test change fees). except it turns out that the online system automatically shows test centres as being full after a certain date or something (having contacted the centre in question I know that they definitely have places). so yeah, no go there - myonly option left is to standby it.

BUT now I'm told that only the french with listening is offered in november? (which i cannot take standby argh). I thought both the french tests were offered; can anyone confirm this please?
