Last Minute tips for the ACT?

Well, my ACT test is in five days, and I wanted to know any good last minute tips I could use these last coming days for my test? I took a practice ACT and I got 21, and before that it was a 17 on the PLAN, I took a free ACT course which was a result of my 21, but my ultimate goal is a 26 or higher. It just seems that I can’t get past a 21 on the English and I’ve gone over my grammar rules and 17 on the math and believe me the math will be the hardest and when I go over my mistakes its simple things that I would have gotten the first time but I start to panic over the time and it leads me to mess up.

I haven’t had to much time with a busy school schedule and I have AP test, so my focus was not on the test to about 2 weeks before which is bad, (I know.) yet on my breaks I take practice test online and I brought the practice test from the actually ACT site and I’ve been practicing with Grockit and Khan Academy. I don’t want to cram everything in a couple days before, but I will be taking the test a 2nd since its going to be administered, and I know I’ll have a second chance but I want to do right the first time. My dream colleges accepts a minimum of 24 for acceptance and I keep motivating myself to trying to achieve that but I feel stuck in a rut and overwhelmed.

Is there any advice out there? It will greatly be appreciated!

It’s okay to be nervous but know that the result will be directly proportional to how much you put your efforts in. 5 days is really not a lot of time to drastically improve your scores - but is necessary to maintain your current scores.

Make sure you understand ALL of ACT grammar rules. Look it up online or find it in a review book. For math, you need to get it right on the first go, especially if you are short on time. But remember to skip it if you can’t figure out how to approach a problem in 15 seconds.

For the last couple of days, solve at least a full-length practice test every day.

Good luck.

Thank you, I will use your ideas.
