Last Test ACT Date for Princeton/MIT regular?

I was wondering what the last test date was.

the MIT website states...

Testing Deadlines and Reporting Scores

In order to apply for freshman admission, you must take the required tests on or before the November test date for Early Action or the December test date for Regular Admission.

Make certain that your test scores are officially reported to MIT's Office of Admissions. To help insure we receive your scores in a timely manner, we suggest you list MIT to receive your scores when you take the test. Our College Board Code (for SAT and TOEFL) is 3514 and our ACT Code is 1858.

Testing Requirements

For entry year 2006: SAT I (either the old version or the new version, available beginning March 2005) or the ACT (with or without the optional writing test). In addition, we require three SAT II Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 (Ic) or 2 (IIc)), one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m), and the third in any area of your choosing.

For entry year 2007 and beyond: SAT I or the ACT with the writing test. In addition, we require two SAT II Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 (Ic) or 2 (IIc)), one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).

For non-native English speakers (for entry year 2006 and beyond): You have two options: 1) take the tests required for native English speakers (see above), or 2) you may take the TOEFL and two SAT II Subject Tests, one in math (level 1 (Ic) or 2 (IIc)) and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).

When to take which tests

Obviously, it's vital that students take all tests on or before their testing deadline (November test date for Early Action and December test date for Regular Action). Beyond that, however, choose your test dates strategically! For example, if you will be completing high school physics, chemistry or biology before your senior year, it's very wise to take the appropriate SAT II Subject Tests(s) right afterwards, in June, while the material is fresh in your mind.

Most applicants do take at least one science subject test during senior year, after completing only a portion of the given course; our Admissions Committee recognizes this and judges the scores accordingly. As a general rule, however, it's best to take a subject exam just after you've completed a whole course.

The content of your math courses should determine whether you take the Level 1 (IC) or the Level 2 (IIC) Math test and when. (The two tests are weighed equally in the admissions decision.) Before you choose the dates for any of your tests, particularly the math test, be sure to get advice from your guidance counselor and your teachers.

Competitive Scores

For students we admitted in 2005, the middle 50% score range was between 690-770 for SAT-I: Verbal and 740-800 for SAT-I: Math. We do not have cutoff scores for the SAT I and SAT II, as scores are evaluated within an applicant's context.

from the Princeton website...

Does Princeton accept ACT (American College Testing) scores?

Yes. We will accept ACT results in place of SAT I scores only. All applicants must submit SAT II scores.

Make sure you have completed both the SAT Reasoning and SAT Subject Tests no later than the January 28, 2006 test date, and have the official results sent to Princeton by the testing agency.

<a href="http://www.princeton.edu/pr/admissions/u/appl/05/index.htm#testing%5B/url%5D">http://www.princeton.edu/pr/admissions/u/appl/05/index.htm#testing</a></p>

I imagine that the **ACT* must be completed no later than the Jan. 28, 2006 date as well, which means that Dec. 10, 2005 was the last eligible ACT test date.

When in doubt, contact the college(s) directly for an answer, not us "know-it-alls" on CC !!!*
