Also, if you marked "Apply for EOP" on the UC application, does that give you "Participation in EOP" points? I honestly have no idea what EOP is, but I did mark that I would like to apply for it on my application.

Yea, I really wanna know too. Unfortunately, I don't think UCD released that number, which is kinda weird since it would make calculating our score based on the rubric a waste of time.

Ownownage, do you think they'll release the cut-off point this early? I'll bet they'll wait until after March before giving us that kind of infomation. But remember to post it in case you do get it. I seriously wanna kno that number!

well i got in last year already. So that was last year's cutoff point. Maybe this year's different?...Depending if the selection process is harder or easier.

7510 was the cut-off point for the college of letter and science last year. ~_~.. I'm super borderlined! It depends on wether they'll give me my leadership or perseverance points.

BTW, I got the number by calling them. HOpefully they don't raise it this year or i'm very screwed. =.=

What do you mean by cutoff? Is it the minimum you must have to be even considered for admission or by cutoff do you mean that if you have a certain point value you'll be guaranteed admission?

UCs give each part of your application points according to their own individual scales. They then add up all those points and if it passes a certain number (the cut-off point), then you're accepted. If not, then you're rejected. The cut-off point varies each year due to the number of applications they recieve and their financial condition. It's called comprehensive review, I think. I know that all the UCs use this method but only 3 are willing to release its criteria: UCSD, UCD, and UCSC.
