If I were to enroll Early Decision to Cornell University and got in, am I allowed to enroll late? Such as next year? I heard something about this in other schools, but not specifically Cornell. Thank you!
Your use of the tern “enroll” is incorrect. Are you talking about deferred enrolment? That would be on the Cornell admissions website if it is an option.
I do believe that Cornell allows you to defer your enrollment if, say, you were planning on taking a gap year or something.
You would not be able to go to another school for a year then start at Cornell later. It would need to be approved by Cornell if you want to defer.
Well it would be cool to be able to check out different schools-enroll in one first before attending Cornell but I guess that isn’t allowed.
Why don’t you call the admissions office and ask? The question to them would be:
“If I were to APPLY [not enroll] early decision and were admitted, would I be permitted to defer my enrollment for a year?”

Cornell address deferrals here. At the very bottom of the page they address ED deferrals. You can do it, but you must notify them by March 1st if your were accepted ED and want to defer for a year.
