Late Midyear Report

My school is having "issues" coming out with midyear reports. We've had many snow days this year which has slowed down the process considerably. This is compounded by the fact that my school just got a new software program for grades etc and apparently no one (administration, guidance, teachers) knows how to use it properly (I am totally seriously, absolutely not trying to be disrespectful).

What should I do? Should I call my schools to explain the situation myself, should I have my guidance counselor do it, or is no action necessary?

All the applications are regular decision, with midyear deadlines of February 15th. Moreover, I was under the normally correct assumption that my school does this automatically and I would not need to worry about it. Now I am worrying about it...

Any insight or advice would be greatly greatly appreciated. I contacted my guidance counselor by email today as this problem only just came to my attention (I didn't realize they would be SO late), but it was this afternoon (Friday) around 4:00 that I got a chance to do so, so I'm sure I won't hear back until Monday. Thank you!

I wouldn’t be worried about it. I’m having a problem with my midyear report (my grades dropped) and when I called colleges to ask about my options, a few (Cornell, TCNJ, Wake Forest, etc.) told me that it was not required to go to committee for review, and that if they needed it they would request it. Others just told me to get it in as soon as I could, because they understood that high schools all over the country are ending their semesters at all sorts of crazy times. In addition to this, colleges have the general understanding of not faulting students for application materials that are the responsibility of the high school.

I literally told my guidance office to hold my reports for as long as possible, and to not even send them to the aforementioned schools.

If you’re still very worried, email your college undergraduate offices about it, and call them Monday afternoon, if it’s still a problem after school. Otherwise, you shouldn’t have any major problems.
