Late slr =\

Hi guys, im a transfer to UC Irvine...i was late on the housing app so im not going through that, im just going to rent a room out somewhere with someone else.....I was also late on the SLR....i called their number and some stupid girl said that there wasnt a deadline for the SLR. So i submitted it today and looked at checklist and said it was due June 1st!!!! I cant call right now to figure out my situation but what happens now? Am i going to get charged out of state tuition? It takes them4 weeks to review it, and im not registering for classes until like after July 18th when orientation is done, so im guessing thatl be around 4 weeks. Will I be okay ?

You were accepted into a UC?

Misses housing application deadline which effectively FINDS YOU A PLACE TO LIVE SO YOU CAN ATTEND SCHOOL

Presumes girl over the phone is infallible font of knowledge and refrains from taking 5 minutes to google “hey slr deadline yeah or what”; refers to girl as stupid once discovering otherwise

Sense not even once

They may give you a hard time with it, but no, they won’t charge you out-of-state tuition. The requirement to qualify for in-state tuition is that you are a resident of CA (among other possibilities), not that you submit your SLR by the due date. I mean, there was a due date, but technically they can’t just deny your residency because you missed the deadline.
You have until the 16th of September to pay your fees. You can sign up for classes anytime after your academic advising session.
Just submit your SLR late, contact the office that determines residency for tuition purposes (Registrar?), and check on webreg/student access what your status is.
Either way, I will have to agree with the other people that responded to this… The deadline was in bold in a different color on the admissions page… And there was a reminder to do it right away after submitting the SIR… Make sure to pay attention to deadlines in the future.

You should call and make sure of your status now that you submitted it.

Regardless, it was posted in several different places when you needed to have everything submitted by. You also submitted your FAFSA really late right? I remember reading your post about that. If you really are having that much of an issue with deadlines, you should have some kind of calendar or something that you have all this info on.
