<p>And I’ve decided this is not a good thing. Low acceptance rates are not necessarily something to be proud of.</p>
<p>I imagine it’s because of the slew of applicants who apply to Brown just because it’s a “prestigious college”. Although they are picky even when it comes to excellent applicants, the low acceptance rate is simply because of the large number of applicants each year.</p>

<p>Bundles of people at my school who aren’t taking any APs or IBs and have average ACT and SAT scores are applying to Brown, Yale, and Harvard. Don’t worry too much about admit rates :D</p>
