Hey, so I'm planning on applying for Law School. Well I've been planning for a while. I would like some advice regarding my GPA and my overall ability to get into law school.

So here my academic breakdown.

I have a 3.87 from the University of Washington in Honors Political Science with certificates in Political Economy and International Security.

My LSAT score is 177

UW Extra Circulars

Senior Editor-Undergrad law review
Attorney-Mock Trial Team
(Only student on campus to serve on both law review and mock trial)
Opinions Writer-Campus Newspaper
Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honors Society)
Published my thesis in UW Political Science paper

Outside Extra Circulars
Intern for Seattle Majors re-election
Student Liaison for Task-force for Washington State Governor on running start.
Internship State Department
Writer for the Online section of Cornell International Affairs Review
Worked two years at a law Firm
Co-founded a non-for profit that focuses on student legislative lobbying.
Numerals awards in writing
Awards in Public speaking (Parli debate, moot court, Model United Nations)
National Bids in all debate and public speaking I attempted at.
I have also gotten my writing published by many different academic papers.

I spent a year abroad at the University College London
My GPA there was a 4.0, which is factored into my UW gpa.
I single out this school because it ranks as the 5th best university in the world or as low as 14th.

There I was an Attorney on the Moot Court Team
A political writer for the P.I Magazine in the UK.

I am currently applying for the Fulbright scholarship.

Here is the catch.
I did running start in High School, and since I am paying my own way through College I stayed at a community college for one year after High School to save money. My GPA there was 3.25

But I did some amazing extra-circulars while at the CC school.

Associate Justice of External Affairs Student Gov
Chief Justice student gov
Founder of Debate Team (Led it to Nationals and turned it into the best team in the region)
Sat on a student/administration deal with bank of America worth 150 Million
Co-founded Campus Law Association
Went to nationals with the Model UN Team, earned the Outstanding delegate at Western Conference.
Organized the first gathering of student leaders of CC schools in my state for the first time.
A campus multi-cultural ambassador.
I also led grass-roots political campaigns for lobbying against tuition hikes and certain bills.

The problem is that when my GPA is calculated out I'm sitting at barely a 3.6 for Law school admission. How bad with everything I have accomplished is this going to be? Will law schools look at the fact that I did far better at much harder schools? My problem at the CC school was that I was working and doing all these activities. So I over stretched myself and paid the price. Also at the same time my father got very sick. Does the fact I'm paying most of my way through school add anything? How about the fact I got a perfect GPA at one of the top ten best schools in the world outweigh my GPA at a community college? The law schools I'm considering are Columbia and Georgetown. I was also born abroad in Brazil.

Thanks for the help.
